What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Inspector II position at Placer County?
The Community Development Resource Agency (CDRA) is accepting applications to fill Building Inspector - II vacancies to review building plans and conduct inspections of residential and commercial buildings under construction or being remodeled, and to determine compliance of plans and of buildings under construction with applicable State and County codes and standards.
Experience required: Two years of responsible experience performing duties similar to those of a Building Inspector I in Placer County.
Training required: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade. Additional specialized training in the building trades or construction technology is desirable.
Required License or Certificate:
- Possession of, or ability to obtain valid driver's license. Proof of adequate vehicle insurance and medical clearance may also be required.
- Possession of a valid Certificate of Registration as a Building Inspector issued by the International Code Council.
