Job Purpose/Summary:This position will perform inspections, maintenance and repairs on specified pipeline assets and assists in other areas of pipeline operations depending upon experience level.
Job Responsibilities
  • Cleans and maintains pipeline right-of-ways.
  • Conducts repairs including ILI verification digs, pipeline change outs, re-coats, etc.
  • Assists in pipeline construction and maintenance.
  • Acts as relief for Station Operators as requested.
  • Locates and marks pipelines with locator and respond to “one call” system.
  • Cooperates with operations personnel during DOT required inspections.
  • Performs duties related to pipeline construction and maintenance
  • Performs routine and non-routine maintenance, upkeep, and cleaning of station, pipeline, and terminal facilities.
  • Assists in 24/7 Emergency Response.
  • Complies with all job-related Plains safety policies and procedures.
  • Assists with any other pipeline related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to speak, read and write English.
  • Must have mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of basic hand tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret pipeline maps and drawings.
  • Basic computer skills: Excel, Microsoft Office, Word, etc.
  • Ability to successfully complete company Haz-Mat training, required DOT operator qualifications to perform pipeline mechanical operations and mandatory safety training.
  • Must have a valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Ability to work in moderate to heavy physically demanding working conditions, including working outdoors in an open environment with extremes of heat and cold.
  • Ability to work in team environment.
