Quality Assurance Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the facility delivers the required standards of food safety according to both Company and Regulatory policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Develop and mentor a strong quality team that supports a world class manufacturing system.
  • Responsible for managing NSF/FDA and all customer audits and Vendor audits.
  • Ensuring the development, compliance, and certification of HACCP, cGMP, and other food safety programs
  • Managing facility inspections, traceability, lab testing, vendor auditing, allergen, Gluten-free, Non-GMO, and environmental testing compliance.
  • Supervise and manage all prerequisite programs: Recall, Calibrations and verifications, Regulatory Documentation, Allergens, Sanitation, GMP, Pest Control and Maintenance. Preparation and implementation of operations and QA standard operating procedures (SOP's) that supports company programs and requirements
  • Ensuring product traceability, inspection program management, vendor management, and microbial program metrics are established, and conduct periodic mock recalls.
  • Primary plant contact and communication for customers and suppliers for all quality, food safety and regulatory issues

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree (Bachelor's degree B. A.) from four-year college or university
  • 3-5 years of Quality Assurance management experience within the food manufacturing or food packaging industries
  • Working knowledge of ATP and FTIR equipment preferred.
  • Physical working environment is multi-shift, high speed packaging and warehouse operations which may be noisy and very warm (or very cold).
