Business and Operations R&D Specialist

The Opportunity:

As a key member of our dynamic Program, Portfolio, and Alliance Management team, reporting to the Sr. Manager of Business and R&D Operations, you will:

• Be the key point person to assist several diverse business functions with purchasing system processes:
• Managing and tracking CRO activities with business and G&A functions.
• Execution of agreements with CROs including quotes, statements of work, work orders, etc. across teams.
• Archive and maintain document repositories as relevant per process requirements.
• Form collaborative rapport with business users and process owners to address needs of both parties in the execution of purchasing system activities.
• Work across functions to improve purchasing system processes: aid in identifying common issues, collaborating with relevant parties to recommend solutions and add these contributions to user training guides to share best practices.
• Manage and maintain communications with stakeholders in a proactive and timely manner.

Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

• Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of experience in a relevant administrative role (procurement, contract management, purchasing departments) in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact daily with diverse cross-functional stakeholders.
• Innovative, proactive and collaborative team-player with high energy to keep pace with our growing and evolving company environment.
• Must have excellent organizational skills, detail-minded, results-oriented, and driven to complete projects on time with high quality.
• Must be a self-starter and able to function independently in a fluid environment under tight timelines.
• Advanced capability with MS Office software (Excel and Word), contract management software applications, Coupa, and Smartsheets.

Preferred Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant scientific discipline (Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or other related scientific discipline) would be highly advantageous.
