Under general supervision, schedules patient appointments for multiple providers and additional resources available within the practice.

Education :

High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.

Experience :

• 2 Years Related experience in healthcare environment is preferred. Previous patient scheduling for multiple providers preferred.
• Previous experience with eClinicalWorks a plus.
• Familiar with different types of insurance and knowledge of benefit verification both online and via telephone.

• Requires caring, compassionate communications during patient interactions both in person and over the phone.
• Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
• A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.

Essential Functions :

• Responsible for answering incoming calls for multiple providers. Schedules all patient appointments for all providers within the practice.
• Performs outgoing calls to patients to schedule appointments as directed by the physicians and clinical staff.
• Ability to verify benefits for appointments and medical care.
• Demonstrates positive professional customer service in all patient, staff, and visitor contacts.
• Performs check-in / check-out duties as needed.
• Shares in daily filing duties
• Performs other duties as assigned.
