House Lead

The House Lead is responsible for overseeing consumer services through leadership, staff supervision, consumer advocacy and health and safety.

The ideal person for the job will be dedicated to a career working with individuals with disabilities, be a proactive problem solver with exceptional communication skills and a meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring medications are ordered in a timely manner, administered properly and documented accurately.
• Overseeing consumer belongings and management of finances as needed.
• Coordinating with health care professionals to ensure consumers' medical needs are met and record medical documentation.
• Recording, reporting, and auditing consumer documentation and financial information.
• Provide support to individuals receiving services including assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation and planning; medication administration; and personal care
• Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in the community or providing transportation to work or other activities.
• Provide assistance with daily activities such as: Grocery shopping, meal preparation and planning; personal care, light housekeeping
• Strictly maintain confidentiality of all consumers and staff, and safeguard persons receiving services and families’ human and civil rights.
• Ensure that employees follow all departmental and agency policies as well as state and federal laws.
• Other Functions:
• Promote agency philosophies, generate team spirit, create and maintain an environment that fosters employee satisfaction, maximizes productivity and quality supports.

Working Conditions:

· Potential exposure to bodily fluids, pests, contagious pathogens, etc.

· This position provides direct support working in a personal residence.

Qualifications:

• High school degree/GED required
• 1 or more years working in the IDD / DSP field
• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel
• Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time
• Must maintain state regulatory certifications & training, as required by state/program requirements
• Medication Administration as required by state/program requirements
• Criminal history and background check

License/Certification:

· CPR & First Aid

Valid Drivers License & Auto Insurance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
