Planstin is looking for a skilled Data and ETL Engineer to join our dynamic Research & Development team. This role will be essential in the building, managing, and optimizing of our data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure seamless data flow and integrity. This opportunity is available as full-time remote.
Your Responsibilities Include
- Design, Develop, and Maintain Data Pipelines:
- Create and manage ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses.
- Optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability.
- Utilize Mulesoft:
- Implement and manage integrations using Mulesoft to ensure data flows efficiently between systems.
- AWS Redshift & Amazon Tools:
- Design and manage data warehouses using AWS Redshift.
- Utilize various AWS tools (e.g., S3, Lambda, Glue, RDS) for data storage, processing, and transformation.
- Project Management:
- Take projects from conception to completion, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
- Work independently and self-manage tasks to meet project goals.
- Collaborate with Business Partners:
- Engage with business partners to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Provide regular updates and communication to stakeholders.
- Data Quality and Governance:
- Ensure data integrity and quality through rigorous testing and validation.
- Implement data governance practices to maintain data security and compliance.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. A master's degree is preferred.
- 5 Years of experience in building data pipelines and transformations and demonstrate experience using ETL tools and processes like Talend and Informatica.
- Proficient experience using Mulesoft for data integration.
- Strong experience with AWS Redshift and other Amazon Tools including S3, Lambda, Glue, and RDS.
- Expertise in SQL and database management.
- Strong knowledge of DataVault and other data modeling methodologies.
- Experience of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and OLAP/OLTP systems.
- Soft skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Attention to detail
- Perform work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Desire to work in a collaborative team including members of multiple departments of the organization.
- You will really stand out if you have experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, and big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark.
- Compensation: Base Salary Range: $95,000 - $125,000 Quarterly Bonuses.
