Plasman is Hiring a Paint Line Team Lead 2nd shift Near Fort Payne, AL
Team Leaders are accountable and responsible for leading, giving direction, providing resources, training to the members / team mates in their team areas assigned (outlined below) to become experts at their presses and gain the knowledge of the customer products / jobs within the team.
Responsible to obtain daily shift line up from supervisor.
Responsible to conduct part check with operator and sign-off on the job book(s). Part checks are to be completed at a minimum at shift start, at each lunch.
Ensure work area(s) and team locations are clean and organized. Remove runners and garbage and any remaining and place in the appropriate areas.
Review quality alerts and job books. Communicate and conduct a further review with all operators in your team.
Responsible to copy check sheets as required.
Prepare and maintain packaging / totes / boxes for your team / presses where the Operator/Assembler is unable to prepare it on his/her own due to cycle time constraints.
Prepare and maintain all production supplies for your area including gloves, tape, etc. as required in order for the Operator to properly perform their duties.
Provide components for operator as required.
Print, verify and apply if required the appropriate labels for all production in your assigned area including partial labels, when required
Provide relief and lunch breaks for all Operators in your team area for breaks and emergencies.
Team Leaders must initial their parts and boxes when giving relief with a blue pencil.
Provide training and assistance for all Operators in your area.
Communicate quality concerns using the proper chain of command.
Communicate Operator performance concerns to the Shift Supervisor on a regular basis.
Complete Operator evaluations as required.
Maintain and promote housekeeping standards at all times.
Monitor Production reports for accuracy throughout the shift.
Assist Operators and other Team Leaders when behind.
Promote an atmosphere of Team Work at all times.
Recommend and participate with suggestions on personnel and continuous improvement activities.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Responsible to conduct 1 5S - Workplace Organization Audit per shift within your area.
Responsible to provide operator training to include RTL training to Material Handlers
Responsible to perform daily RTL ribbon checks and change as required prior to break.
Work in compliance with the Quality and Business Operating Systems and all health and safety and environmental legislation.
Completion of any other duties as assigned.
