SENOIR PROCESS ENGINEER

COMMERCE, GA (ON-SITE, THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION)

THIS IS A MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING POSITION, INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING.

As a Production & Process Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the technical production process and developing and integrating new technical activities. The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent technical/ engineering skills, lean manufacturing principles, and an excellent knowledge of plant support systems. The position reports directly to the Plant Manager and will work hand in hand with our Process Engineers, our international Research & Development Team, as well as Production Teams in Plattsburgh, NY and Germany. This position will require flexibility to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support as necessary
• Establish process metrics and goals
• Develop and issue process designs
• Making a lot of Flooring at this company. Luxury Vinyl plank flooring.
• Make foam PVC flooring.
• Brand new facility. Bright, Clean and family owned.
• New addition because of growth.
• The perfect candidate would be very technical,
• Degreed engineer.
• Foamed plastic extrusion would be great.
• Product Development Experience.
• Process engineer will spend a majority of their time on the shop floor.
• "Not a Mouse Jockey" working on a computer.
• Willing to be hands on working on machinery.
• Some electrical knowledge and plc knowledge would be preferred.
• Understands sensors, motors, electric.
• Spec machinery for new projects,
• Well-rounded. Good mechanical knowledge.
• Good process knowledge. Lean mentality. Good industrial engineering skills.
• Great project management skills.
• Someone who has some experience in leading teams. Mentor younger engineers, and oversee projects with people from different functions.
• Someone who has worked in manufacturing, and in and industrial environment.
• NOT looking for a design engineer.
• Not looking for a Lab engineer.
• Not looking for an R&D engineer.
• This is a manufacturing engineering position, industrial engineering.
• Willing to get dirty, pitch-in and help the team on the floor.
• Not looking for someone who hands stuff off to the maintenance department….wants someone who wants to spec a machine, wants to visit the supplier, wants to lead the installation, etc. Has a full runoff plan.
• The key is, not about titles, it's about what makes things successful.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering
• Familiarity with process control
• Excellent written and oral skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
