Plastic Hand Surgical Associates is a leading reconstructive, hand and cosmetic surgery physician practice. Our day surgery center is fully accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). We provide patients with individualized care in a comfortable, private setting.

We have an opening for a Full-Time Patient Financial Coordinator to join our Billing team.

Responsibilities include:

• Evaluate and follow up on all patient balance accounts by working the collection queue and assessing reports
• Investigate and utilize all possible resources that could provide information and lead to payment
• Communicate with patients by phone and/or letter, creating payment plan agreements
• Communicate and coordinate with insurance companies and/or collection agencies as needed
• Document all activity made on patient account including phone calls, conversations, letters sent, recommendation to physicians for collections or when account is turned over to collections
• Initiate, research and fill out appropriate paperwork for refunds
• Other duties including cross coverage within the billing department as needed

The successful candidate will have previous related experience, strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
