Plastipak Packaging, Inc. is seeking an IT Field Support Technician to join our team in Garland, TX. In this role, you will provide manufacturing facilities with networking, scanning, hardware, software, desktop, and user support. You will work independently and support multiple sites.

You Will:

• Be responsible for Level 2 help desk support
• Provide technical support for hardware, software, scanning, networking and infrastructure
• Complete maintenance repairs of laptops, PCs, VRC’s and handheld scanning devices
• Ensure computer backup systems are operational maintained/monitored
• Maintain wireless infrastructure at remote locations
• Provide training support to users

You Have:

• Associate’s degree is required, a Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in a help desk environment
• Experience supporting a manufacturing environment preferred
• Experience driving aerial/boom lift preferred
• Understanding of SQL, WAN, LAN and Networking concepts required
• Cisco experience is preferred
• Experience in SAP is preferred
• Ability to travel 35-40%
