Description Description Plateau is seeking a Quality Assurance Automation Analyst to support our government client. This role will work and communicate with a variety of groups, both functional and technical, to convert requirements to test cases, prepare test data, and execute both manual and automated testing to ensure high-quality standards are being met. Responsibilities Analyze user requirements, design documents, and other documentation to develop test plans and detailed test cases. Execute automated functional and regression test cases, report and document all issues, test cases ran, test results, and testing summaries in detail. Write SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data. Perform manual testing and data validation. Work with the development team and customers to clearly understand the functionality under test, help determine test cases, and clearly communicate issues found. Review user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate applications or to improve existing systems. Collaborate with the project team for sprint/release work on tasks such as providing testing effort estimates, resolving defects or issues, and providing status on work assignments or issues. Requirements * Solid understanding of Agile/scrum software development and release process
* Create mature automated frameworks for validating end-to-end scenarios for highly integrated systems.
* Core Java skills, write code using Selenium and Java.
* Design and develop UI automation framework to support complex applications.
* Expertise with service-oriented architecture and REST APIs
* Proficiency with SQL queries and a solid understanding of backend systems
* Write JAVA code to automate the test of business layer or data layer applications.
* Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
* Perform functional and non-functional system integration and regression testing.
* Experience with cloud systems like Azure.
* Proven experience with Version control systems such as GitHub & Git
* Maintain and update automation code with new releases of applications.
* Solid understanding of the implementation of the Selenium BDD framework
* Solid experience with API testing tools like POSTMAN
* Guidance and/or hands-on experience in development of unit testingExcellent communication skills Must be a team player. Minimum Required Qualifications A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred. 3 years' experience with automated testing tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines Prior experience working in Agile delivery. Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
