As an assistant manager you are a key member of our leadership team helping to achieve success one customer and positive experience at a time.

We are looking for a responsible, empathetic, and energetic full-time leader to help our store continue to be a success.

Assistant Manager Responsibilities

• Be a leader working in concert with the store manager and owners to achieve personal and store goals.
• Lead staff to create a welcoming environment for our customers, by greeting customers immediately, determine their needs, and handling all transactions in a professional and enthusiastic manner.
• Opening and/or closing responsibilities including but not limited to: responsibility for opening and closing the store on a timely basis and according to schedule, balancing, opening/closing the till and responsibility for deposits as needed.
• Become familiar with products, brands and prices and make recommendations of products, including their features and benefits, to suit customers’ needs. Maximize sales and customer satisfaction by adding items to the close of the sale.
• Buy used product, reinforcing the customer’s purchases and sales to the store. Invite customers to return to the store with their used gear for product trade or to sell.
• Price and ticket items appropriately based on pricing/buying guidelines. Restock store following merchandising plan. Maintain store displays and follow store housekeeping and maintenance standards and procedures.
• Be creative – express your ideas on how the store could run better or service our customers. Work with leadership to see the ideas come to life.
• Develop proficiency in operating the point-of-sale system in the store for all sale transactions.
• Train new staff on their responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Flexible schedule - but able to work full time (which will include some weekends or evenings)
• A great attitude and excellent customer service
• Empathetic leadership qualities
• Reliable and responsible
• Willing and able to enforce company policies
• Firm belief that every leader should set the example. Puts into practice the mindset that no work is beneath them.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37 per week
