JOB SUMMARY: Supervise the operation of the Customer Experience Representative and Teller positions in the Personal Banker/Teller areas and coordinate the customer service in those departments. As a working supervisor must be able to successfully function as a Back-up Personal Banker/Teller. Possess the ability to lead and motivate subordinates to accomplish company goals and standards, along with adherence to established policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. SUPERVISION:
  1. Responsible for the Supervision and workflow of the Teller and Personal Banker personnel within the Consumer Department.
  2. Provide the key components for training of all new Personal Bankers and Tellers at location(s).
  3. Responsible for making sure daily transactions get processed and each teller balances their drawers.
  4. Maintain appropriate cash levels in the vault.
  5. Responsible for conducting performance reviews in accordance with HR policy for staff.
  6. Responsible for establishing and monitoring internal controls to manage risk.
  7. Other duties as assigned.
2. OPENING & PROCESSING ACCOUNTS:
  1. Provide customers with information on deposit accounts, rates, service charges, restrictions, and other relevant account information.
  2. Provide customers with information and help enroll in internet banking, mobile banking and business accounts with merchant service options.
  3. Open, process and renew demand and time deposit accounts including passbook accounts, IRAs, certificates of deposit and money market accounts. Provide starter checks; order checks and ATM cards.
  4. Provide full service banking to customers; demonstrate the ability to research, resolve problems and respond to customers' inquiries timely; successfully function as a Personal Banker and Teller.
  5. Maintain audit, security, compliance and regulatory standards. Respond to Compliance and Regulatory audits timely. Keep informed of changes in bank services or procedures.
  6. Expand and cross sell other bank services and refer customers to other departments / subsidiaries (trust, investments, mortgage, insurance, Ambassador Club, etc.) as appropriate.
  7. Achieve a level of performance at or above standards established for the Bank, to include sales goals.
  8. Greet clients and prospective clients extending courtesy, kindness, and genuine interest.
  9. Process a variety of financial transactions presented by customers in an accurate and timely manner, according to established policy and procedures.
3. TELLER RESPONSIBILITES:
  1. Responsible for the schedules of all tellers to ensure efficient teller operations during business hours.
  2. Responsible to ensure the training of all new Tellers at location.
  3. Responsible for making sure daily transactions get processed and each teller balances their drawers.
  4. Maintain appropriate cash levels in the vault.
  5. Maintain knowledge of all Teller policies, practices and procedures. Attend all scheduled lead teller and teller meetings.
  6. Act as the liaison between the tellers and management.
REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Qualifications:
  1. High School diploma or equivalent
  2. 3-5 banking experience preferred
  3. Previous Supervisory experience preferred
  4. Math proficiency and aptitude.
  5. Keyboarding and computer skills required.
  6. Demonstrated record of achievement in social and/or extracurricular and leadership skills.
  7. Demonstrated aptitude to handle sensitive operational transactions and customer relationships
  8. Professional appearance.
  9. Effective oral and written communication skills (including telephone).
  10. Self-sufficient / self-starting.
  11. Ability to adjust to flexible hours.
  12. Strong interest in and ability to sell products and service.
  13. Must be capable of working with and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information
Physical Requirements:
Light Work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/up to 10 pounds of force frequently,
and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Reaching, fingering, grasping, repetitive motions, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, climbing, kneeling, talking, hearing, pulling, pushing, thinking, concentrating and interacting with others.
