ABOUT US: Playabilities is a multidisciplinary pediatric occupational, physical, and speech therapy clinic with two clinic locations in the Kansas City area (Leawood, KS and Prairie Village, KS). We provide personalized, intensive, and client-centered therapy services for children with various neurodevelopmental disabilities including developmental delays, autism, and sensory processing disorder. We provide a relaxed, yet professional work environment consisting of a collection of highly motivated, self-driven therapists and administrative team members who feed from each other’s love for their job and compassion for helping our families. JOB DESCRIPTION:We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Human Resources Summer Intern to join our team. As a Human Resources Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of HR operations, contributing to the success of our HR initiatives.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in recruitment efforts by posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and coordinating interviews
  • Support the onboarding process for new hires by preparing documents through current HR system
  • Help create and maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and databases in newly implemented HRIS, UKG-Ready
  • Assist with HR-related projects, such as employee engagement surveys, training and troubleshooting sessions with employees and managers, and policy development
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including organizing and preparing documents.
  • Assisting with creating a HR user guide for new HRIS, updated Employee and Student Handbooks
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive work culture by participating in employee engagement activities and events
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program at an accredited university; preferably in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE:
  • No experience required.
SKILLS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/KNOWLEDGE:
  • Must be efficient with computers, windows operating system, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to a collaborative team environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Ability to leverage multiple components on a computer to maximize productivity
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Duties are performed in a professional and deadline-oriented environment in an office setting, as well as within the clinic, providing direct treatment to clients
  • Interaction with staff, clients, families, and community stakeholders
