Responsibilities
- Delegate tasks to restaurant staff and supervise their performance
- Train new hires and inform staff of new policies
- inventory and ordering, as needed
- Manage dining reservations
- Help staff resolve on-the-job challenges
- Balance the cash at the end of the shift
- Essential Cleaning duties
- Ensure client satisfaction and gracefully handle any complaints
- Open and/or close the restaurant
- Inform the next Shift Manager about pending tasks
- Report maintenance and training needs
- Proven experience as a Shift Manager or relevant role in a restaurant
- Good knowledge of restaurant operations
- Availability to work different shifts, including nights and weekends (holidays are mandatory)
- A customer service approach with the ability to manage complaints with professionalism (Customer is always right motto)
- Excellent organizational skills
- Team management abilities
- Logical decision making and maintaining team structure
