Job Summary:

The Cash Room Attendant is responsible for managing cash during the park's operating season. The attendant has the following responsibilities:

• Processing, reporting, balancing, and safekeeping of all cash distributed to and received from the cashiers.
• Preparing daily bulk deposits, documenting and storing them for pick-up by armored car services.
• Maintaining all vault logs and any other paperwork associated with cash room activities.
• Ensuring that proper cash handling procedures are being followed by all team members.
• Properly handling team member cash outs on a shift basis and reporting any discrepancies.
• Maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring accurate accounting of all transactions, collections, and disbursements during the shift.
• Preparing change orders as necessary.
• Identifying gaps in proper cash handling procedures and reporting findings to leadership.
• Following instructions from Cash Control Supervisors and above.
• Ensuring that all company and departmental regulations and procedures are followed.

Job Requirements:

• Prior cash handling and counting experience, along with a high school diploma or GED, is required
• Ability to balance a bank without assistance (locating errors when out of balance)
• Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
• High volume cash handling and/ or bank teller experiences preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Must have flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background screening per company policy.
• Must be able to complete all basic math functions.
• Must have basic knowledge of computers.
• Must be able to maintain information on basic Excel and Word documents.
• Must be able to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
• Must be able to communicate courteously, professionally, and clearly with all staff.
• Must maintain confidentiality regarding all cash room and company information.
