Overview

Central Underwriter will be responsible for, but not limited to, the underwriting of auto insurance ensuring compliance with appropriate company standards.

The Central Underwriter is responsible for the timely examination of commercial documents for accuracy and completeness while working with PLS store personnel and commercial customers to secure all required documents.

Job Responsibilities :

Review commercial documents to ensure accuracy and completenessAccurately enter application data into underwriting tool Adhere to all underwriting policies and proceduresEnsure proper and correct decisions for applications submitted, placing emphasis on response time, quantity of applications processed, and quality of applications approved or deniedGather all information required for insurance quotes and sales from the store and customerPresent insurance quotes that best meet the customer’s needsEnsure that all required documents are initialed and or signed, and saved in the correct place with each completed saleNo outbound insurance calls, no cold callsPotential monthly bonus based on quality assurance and insurance sales conversion rate Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

Job Requirements :

1-2 years of data entry and / or loan underwriting experience preferredStrong analytical skillsAbility to meet production, quality and service standardsMust be able to work eveningsAbility to assess information with strong attention to detail
