Plum Creek Recovery Ranch is Hiring a Business Development Liaison Near Dallas, TX

Job SummaryThe Business Development Liaison is responsible for representing the facility in assigned markets to include hospitals, crisis units, physicians, mental health professionals and other assigned groups or agencies. Collaborate closely with clinicians, discharge coordinators, physicians, social workers, and management to generate new referral sources, maintaining those relationships, and consistently promoting Plum Creek Recovery Ranch throughout the behavioral healthcare community. The Liaison must grow and maintain a pipeline of client referral sources to consistently increase the facility's overall community awareness.
Essential Duties:
  • Listens to customer feedback and assists in identifying and evaluating new services; presents to administration
  • Assists in researching and gathering information and materials to develop public relations, marketing, and other facility communication projects
  • Assists in planning, organizing and conducting various internal and external activities for department such as facility tours, health fairs, open houses, networking events, and outreach efforts
  • Prepares strategic plans on a bi-monthly basis
  • Demonstrates effective prospecting and qualifying skills
  • Demonstrates effective use of the 7 stages of the "sales" cycle with existing and prospective referral sources
  • Requests business referrals in each encounter
  • Successfully meets sales team standards, including mix of scheduled appointments, cold calling, follow-ups, and discharge information drop-offs
  • Maintains the data base system associated with sales activities
  • Participates in ongoing self-study training of product knowledge and competitive offerings
  • Takes responsibility for training for personal development
  • Actively supports the company's ongoing referral communication and development program
  • Maintains positive working relationships within the industry and with other key agents of the company
  • Supports the company's and department financial goals
  • Upholds the Organization's ethics and customer service standards
  • Understands potential client PHI and maintains the appropriate confidentiality
  • Travels assigned territory conducting in person meetings with prospective referral sources
  • Maintains effective relationships with referral sources
  • Develops rapport with Plum Creek clinicians to effectively communicate Plum Creek treatment model, programs and services to prospective referral sources
  • Performs related duties as requested
RequirementsJob RequirementsEducation and/or Licensure - Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field or five years relative experience preferred. High School diploma/GED required. No required licensure.
Experience -Five (5) years in healthcare marketing and/or community relations, preferably in behavioral health. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to take initiative, problem solve and follow through appropriately.
Additional Requirements - Valid TX Driver's License. Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
Knowledge Skills And Abilities
  • Displays basic knowledge of treatment procedures; interventions common to substance use disorder clients
  • Communicates effectively with a variety of individuals and functions calmly in situations which require a high degree of sensitivity, tact, and diplomacy. Provides prompt, efficient, and responsive service
  • Ability to exercise appropriate judgment in answering questions and releasing information; analyze and project consequences of decisions and/or recommendations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication English skills; skills in facilitating and/or co-facilitating process-oriented and didactic groups
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and proposals.
  • Ability to effectively present information both electronically and in person and respond to questions from clients, customers and the general public
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.
  • Ability to effectively plan sales strategy.
  • Ability to analyze a territory market and produce a plan both short-term and long-term with actionable goals and targets
  • Ability to negotiate and build relationships
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks or parts of tasks simultaneously to ensure timely completion of work activities.
Physical Requirements/Environmental ConditionsPerform the following with or without reasonable accommodations:
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, and be able to perceive the attributes of objects such as size, shape, temperature, and/or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of the fingertips.

  • Perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers. Individual must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and to be able to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Work requires a minimum standard of visual acuity with or without correction that will enable people in the role to complete administrative and clerical tasks, as well as inspect and analyze
  • Must be able to work and concentrate amidst distractions such as noise, conversation and foot traffic; ability to handle interruptions often and be able to move from one task to another
  • While worker may possibly be subjected to temperature changes, the worker is generally not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions as the work is predominantly inside
