WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY BE DOING:
- Leadership and Supervision: Assign work and provide instructions to warehouse associates, setting clear expectations and holding team members accountable
- Operational Management: Ensure all customer orders are picked, shipped accurately, and within required timeframes. Oversee the receipt and storage of incoming materials and ensure quality control standards are met
- Inventory Management: Maintain accuracy in inventory through effective organization and detailed record-keeping
- Safety and Compliance: Uphold safety standards, ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for all stakeholders, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any operational discrepancies and improve processes to prevent future issues
- Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as necessary
- Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate documentation for all warehouse activities and provide reports to management
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Lead or similar supervisory role in a warehouse environment
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and management
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Proficiency in using warehouse software and systems
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to physically handle the demands of the job, including lifting up to 75 lbs with assistance
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in logistics is a plus
