Plymouth Harbor is Hiring a Human Resources - Recruiter Near Sarasota, FL

The Recruiter is responsible for full-cycle recruiting; recruiting, screening, and recommending placement of staff by using creative sourcing methods, both internal and external. This position must possess considerable skill in screening and interviewing techniques, a good knowledge of all position functions in the company and a thorough understanding of the company’s organizational structure as well as extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure, federal and state laws and local employment-related ordinances regarding employment practices. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESIn conjunction with the VP of Resident & Team Member Relations and HR Manager, develop recruitment strategies to achieve required staffing levels.Meet with directors and/or hiring managers to develop specific recruiting plans for their department. Develop and maintain professional relationships with college, university and community college placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants.Schedule and attend job/career fairs with appropriate staff to generate qualified applicants.Provide information on company operations and job opportunities to potential applicants.Process personnel requisitions. Manage job postings to include internal and external sources. Screen and refer qualified applicants to hiring manager for interviewing. Provide initial screening to obtain work history, education, training, job skills and salary requirements. Arrange travel and lodging for applicants, if necessary. Conduct reference and background checks and ensure new-hire drug testing. Extend verbal and written conditional job offers, as directed. Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws and ordinances. Provide reports, as requested. Assist the VP and HR Manager in creating the annual recruiting budget. In conjunction with the VP, develop and conduct training programs for managers with a goal of improving recruiting and hiring efficiencies and reducing turnover. Prepare and present hiring activities and statistics to the VP, as directed. Provide back-up support to the HR Manager, as needed. In cooperation with the HR Manager, ensure coverage of the HR Office Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Maintain Plymouth Harbor’s Refer a Family Member or Friend (RAFF) team member referral program.Ensure that proper records are maintained, and filing is up to date.Attend and participate in workshops, seminars, and mandatory in-services as approved or required. Maintain work area, equipment and supplies in a clean, sanitary and organized manner. Ensure that work areas are neat and confidential materials are properly stored before leaving area on breaks, end of workday, etc. Work safely; complying at all times with Plymouth Harbor safety standards. Call 555 in the event of an emergency. Perform other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate, or as may be directed. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYThis position has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Minimum high school plus specialized training in a vocational occupation or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources, preferred. Experience:Minimum three years relevant experience. General:Must have good organizational skills. Must be a detail-oriented person and able to perform duties with great accuracy on a daily basis.Must have excellent personal skills, demonstrating the ability to conduct oneself in a non-controversial style; a style that inspires the respect of others and promotes a sense of trust in the individual’s competence. Must have good communication skills; speaking, writing, and listening.Must be fluent in English and able to communicate with Spanish-speaking applicants and team members. Must have excellent computer skills.Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs with emphasis on Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word, with the ability to learn and use proprietary software as required.
