Job Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a dynamic team at a leading construction company. This role is pivotal in providing financial leadership and expertise, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our accounting operations, and contributing to the overall financial health of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Management - Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with GAAP and industry standards.
- Internal Controls and Compliance- maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal and tax requirements.
- Project Accounting - including cost tracking, billing, and revenue recognition for construction projects. Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Process Improvement- Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and experience with construction accounting and project cost accounting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
