PM New Logo is Hiring a Food & Beverage Supervisor | Hyatt House Orlando / International Drive Near Orlando, FL

We’re looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor who is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel's breakfast and evening bar service. They will be a key driver in the guest dining experience and create an atmosphere conducive to the responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages. They will look to make every experience flawless to encourage repeat business. This is a non-exempt position that reports to the Food & Beverage Manager.

The Property

HYATT House is an extended-stay, residential-style hotel that aims to provide individual travelers with the feel of a modern condominium. Our 175 room, all suite property offers the comforts of home such as fully equipped kitchens, flat panel HDTVs and daily complimentary breakfast, while the public space features facilities such as a pool, a fitness center, and a business center. This property is located in urban Orlando near popular destinations such as the Orange County Convention Center, Universal Studios, and premium outlet shopping experiences, accommodating small meetings and corporate clients seeking to place their employees on extended assignment.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of breakfast servers, bartenders, and line cooks.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff to ensure excellent customer service and adherence to hotel policies.
  • Schedule staff shifts and manage time-off requests to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Ensure guests receive prompt, courteous, and efficient service during breakfast and evening bar hours.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints and issues in a professional manner.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and implement improvements as needed.
  • Oversee the setup and breakdown of breakfast and bar areas, ensuring all items are fresh, appealing, and well-stocked.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the food and beverage areas, including tables, counters, and serving stations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with management to order supplies as needed.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure all food and beverage areas comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure food and beverages are prepared and presented according to hotel standards.
  • Work with line cooks to ensure the quality and consistency of food items.
  • Monitor the freshness of ingredients and rotate stock to minimize waste.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices, reporting any safety hazards or maintenance issues to management immediately.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Assist in recruitment and training of new staff as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales, and staff schedules.
  • Prepare reports on food and beverage operations and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist management with budgeting and cost control measures.
  • Abide by all state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages. Ensure proper liquor controls are in place. 
  • Receive cash from guests, make any change needed, verify validity of charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all monies.
  • Comply with all PM Hotel Group policies and procedures regarding cash handling. 
  • Lock up and store all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposit cash drops and secure bank. 
  • Communicate effectively with guests and answer questions regarding menu items, specials, and beverages. 
  • Maintain knowledge of current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, and food shortages in the kitchen. 
  • Accommodate any needs for reasonable special requests. 
  • Maintain clean and sanitary environment with knowledge of proper handling, storage, and sanitation. 
  • Know the location and operation of all fire extinguishing equipment. 
  • Practice safe work habits at all times to avoid possible injury to self or other employees. 

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • A passion for customer service and excellent customer services skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Previous bartending experience. 
  • Previous hospitality/customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of Florida liquor laws and ability to abide by them, including monitoring guests for responsible alcohol consumption and asking for proper identification. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, energetic environment. 
  • Ability to think on your feet and work calmly under pressure. 
  • High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).
