PM New Logo is Hiring a Housekeeping Supervisor | Hyatt House Orlando / International Drive Near Orlando, FL

We're looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor who has overall responsibility for the housekeeping department. The ideal candidate for this position will have strong leadership skills, experience in housekeeping and leading a team. They will be well organized, able to work in a fast-paced environment and solve problems with a sense of urgency. They will have strong communication skills with both team members and guests, have a friendly and kind demeanor, as well as the ability to think outside the box. This is a non-exempt position that reports to the Director of Housekeeping.

The Property

HYATT House is an extended-stay, residential-style hotel that aims to provide individual travelers with the feel of a modern condominium. Our 175 room, all suite property offers the comforts of home such as fully equipped kitchens, flat panel HDTVs and daily complimentary breakfast, while the public space features facilities such as a pool, a fitness center, and a business center. This property is located in urban Orlando near popular destinations such as the Orange County Convention Center, Universal Studios, and premium outlet shopping experiences, accommodating small meetings and corporate clients seeking to place their employees on extended assignment.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and BOH while providing exceptional levels of service.
  • Conduct monthly inventory of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen as required.
  • Interdepartmental communication with Front Office, F&B department, and Engineering to ensure a best-in-class guest experience.
  • Ability to build a positive team culture by giving clear direction and expectations.
  • Supervision of housekeeping team including mentoring, coaching, counseling and training under the guidance of leadership.
  • Evaluate condition of furniture, fixtures, decor, etc. Make recommendations and take lead in the organization and coordination of Engineering and Housekeeping preventative maintenance programs and special projects.
  • Ensure efficiency of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and policies.
  • Drive positive and seamless employee relations with contract colleagues, ensuring proper training and culture integration.
  • You'll internalize and demonstrate our cultural values on a daily basis, understanding that the team is looking to you to set the tone.
  • You will balance accountability and delivering at a high level with empathy and support to create an engaged team.
  • You will be active, on the floor, and hands on with your team.
  • You will provide on the spot feedback.
  • While your focus will be on housekeeping duties, you will appreciate, value and understand the role every colleague plays in delivering our ethos and guest experience.

Who You Are

  • Have at least one year of hotel experience.
  • Experience supervising a housekeeping team (preferred).

While this is a salaried position, be prepared to accommodate varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
