We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.SummaryPM Pediatric Care is seeking a School Health Behavioral Therapist (LCSW or LMHC) to provide mental health services to elementary, middle, and high school students.
*This position is located in person at Baldwin Middle School*
The mission of our School Health Program is to deliver high-quality health care to students that is accessible, convenient, and affordable for all. As a School Health Behavioral Therapist you will provide direct therapeutic services to students within our partner school districts, including assessments, brief evidence-based interventions, and discharge planning.
Description
  • Location: On Site - Baldwin Middle School
  • Compensation Range: - 70k - 95k for full-time 40 hours per week (range varies depending on license)(prorated for Part Time)
  • Schedule: Monday 4-8pm, Tuesday 4-8pm, Wednesday 4-8pm, Thursday 4-8pm, Friday 1-5pm
  • Language: Fluent Spanish preferred, not required
  • License Requirement - must have LCSW or LMHC
  • Provide in person consultation and solution focused therapeutic interventions for students in grades K-12
  • Provide in person consultation crisis intervention services for students in grades K-12
  • Provide culturally relevant counseling and treatment
  • Collaborate with care management team to identify and support transition services
  • Participate in trainings, meetings, and other activities with PM Pediatrics School Health team and school officials
  • Maintain weekly scheduled therapy appointments.
  • Complete required documentation and paperwork including clinical assessments, treatment planning, and updating of student medical records within of 24 hours of student visits.
  • Demonstrate cultural competency and commitment to students.
  • Assist in developing local promotional material and engage in referral partnerships.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Maintain a caseload of 30-35 patients weekly or a minimum of 5 patients daily

Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related field required
  • Relevant therapist license in the state(s) practicing (LCSW - New York)
  • Experience with pediatric and adolescent patients required
  • Ability to effectively interact, work, and develop meaningful relationships with people of various cultural backgrounds
  • Experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other evidence-based practices.
  • Prior school-based mental health experience preferred
  • Language proficiency in Spanish is a plus
