Our company is looking for a service-oriented General Manager to manage our high-volume location. This is an exciting opportunity to create memorable dining experiences for our customers, continually improve our quality of service, and help our team reach their full potential.
General Manager duties and responsibilities
Maximizing the value of an appealing atmosphere in the restaurant requires a good bit of business savvy. The General Manager will take responsibility for the following duties regularly:
· Ensuring incoming staff complies with company policy
· Training staff to follow restaurant procedures
· Maintaining safety and food quality standards
· Keeping customers happy and handling complaints
· Organizing schedules
· Keeping track of employees’ hours
· Recording payroll data
· Ordering food, gloves and other supplies while staying within budget limitations
General Manager skills and qualifications
Years of experience in financial literacy and food safety and presentation will help employees succeed in restaurant management. General Manger should have the following qualifications in order to successfully meet the demands of the job:
· At least a high school diploma
· Previous restaurant experience
· Prior work as a manager or supervisor
· Success with customer service
· Training in food safety
· Experience with long shifts
· Financial literacy
· Ability to keep inventory organized
