Position Summary:

The position of invoice analyst will review, document and process invoices on a monthly basis. This position will support the Invoice Senior Fiscal Manager to ensure provider invoices match their budget in the contracts and assist project managers with review of financial issues related to practice.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review monthly invoices from contracted provider agencies for accuracy and completeness, and promptly notify provider agencies of any deficiencies. Obtain department approval and prepare funding breakdown for processing by the accounts payable unit
• Work with DHS fiscal staff to confirm funding sources for contracted agencies
• Work with accounts payable staff to troubleshoot invoicing problems
• Work with DHS project managers to review line item budgets according to the conformed contract
• Prepare statistical reports relating to the expenditures for different contract classes
• Track and log invoices as they are sent and returned
• Communicate with provider agencies and follow up on incomplete or inaccurate invoices
• Take the lead role in constructing encumbrance document excel sheets and other

Skills Required:

• Comfort with Microsoft Office, specifically excel
• Ability to communicate with vendors and internal staff
• Attention to detail
• Patience

Education and Experience:

• This is an entry level position — four year degree or in lieu of a degree three years’ experience.
