PNC is Hiring a Monitoring Engineer Near Phoenix, AZ

Position Title: Incident Commander

Position Location: Hybrid (3 days in office and 2 days at home)

  • Phoenix, AZ

Schedule:

  • Working Hours: 8am to 5pm MST (Training: 2-3 weeks will be 10 am - 7 pm EST)
  • Days: M-F, 40 hours
  • Travel: No
  • OT: No

Intended Length of assignment:

  • EOY before FTE consideration
  • This position contract with the right to hire if a need becomes available. Manager will only look at candidates that are open to converting to a full-time employee. We will not sponsor work visas if the decision is made to hire the contingent worker.

Project/ initiative :BAU

  • Any issues and run the critical outages

  • Function the group supports from an LOB perspective: Event Management; they monitor infrastructure components through various tools; alerts they get determines the processes. The remediation- critical functions within the company. Any issues they get the environment up and running

Key responsibilities:

  • Utilizing monitoring tools - View of health of environment
  • Reach out to teams to determine if they need assistance, big small, put together support teams
  • 24/7 support team
  • Open bridge line, until remediation is complete
  • Document incident management process
  • Take notes/ keep records for outages

Must have technical skills/experience:

  • MS OFFICE
  • Dynatrace
  • Monitory tools: SNOW, Dynatrace,
  • Monitory tools Intuerity; SNOW
  • Experienced leader of large technical groups operating in a 24x7 environment
  • Builder, developer, and leader of high performing teams operating in a high-pressure, dynamic environment
  • Incident Management skills, engaged and direction technical staffs with remediation as primary focus
  • Insatiable curiosity of how technologies work and how technologies interface in complex, large scale environments
  • Possess a breadth and depth of technical and management knowledge
  • Appreciation for the strength of defined, repeatable processes and metrics-based management
  • Continuous improvement mindset, always looking for opportunities to streamline, routinize, or automate
  • Working knowledge across technology the following support areas:
  • Server: Administration and troubleshooting in Linux and Windows as well as patching and basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash)
  • Converged Solutions: Experience in VCE/UCP (including VMWare versions 6 and above), platform and network connectivity, and patching – understanding of current threat analysis and remediation trends, alongside PowerShell and Linux scripting skills
  • Storage: CIFS/NFS, Linux and Windows scripting, DPA reporting, Avamar and Data Domain administration, and solid understanding of Windows and Linux environments
  • Middleware: Linux, Windows, WebSphere, Apache, IIS, WebLogic and Tomcat
  • Mainframes: JCL, CICS SYSPLEX
  • Networking: Strong understanding of the network protocols and OSI Model, as well as Network Certification
  • Workflow and Knowledge Management: ServiceNow
  • Collaboration Tools: TrueSight, Jira, and Confluence
  • Process: Skilled and knowledgeable in ITSM; proficiency in operations analytics methodologies to drive performance improvement (e.g., Lean)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team, taking ownership of tasks and driving them to completion
  • Relevant certifications
  • ITIL fundamentals
  • Familiarity with Problem Management, Change Management, Release Management, Event Management, and Incident Management

  • :Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Science or Math is desirable or equivalent work experience required
