Job Summary: This role is pivotal within the LEAD project, providing engagement and intensive case management services to individuals suspected of low-level drug offenses and/or prostitution. The LEAD Case Manager will directly assist an active case load of approximately 25-30 individuals. Case Managers offer long-term engagement and supportive services, conducting intensive case management activities, and collaborating with LEAD partners, service providers, housing providers, and other community organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide intensive case management services to assigned clients.
2. Engage participants on the street and at social service provider facilities to establish working relationships and offer services.
3. Assess participants for the severity of chemical dependency and housing status, determining needs for other services, e.g., medical, mental health.
4. Assist participants in accessing various funding programs (e.g., SSI, ABD, VA).
5. Aid participants in finding housing and maintaining occupancy.
6. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with LEAD partners, including Seattle Police Department, King County Sheriff, King County, and City of Seattle Prosecutor’s office.
7. Advocate for and support participants within the criminal justice system, including court appearances and written communication.

Advocate on behalf of participants with a variety of other service providers.

Requirements: 

1. 1. Associates Degree
   2. Bachelor’s Degree Or equivalent preferred
   3. Education and experience in case management or human services
   4. Experience with disabilities helpful

e. Valid Washington State Driver’s License
