Scope of Responsibility:
· Lead sales efforts for specialty produce while collaborating with farm staff to identify optimal product lines that drive efficiency and revenue.
Specialty Produce Representative responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Planning:
· Work closely/regularly with Pocono Organics executive team to execute specialty produce sales strategy; inclusive of target audiences, sales forecasting, tactical promotional/presentation materials, industry event inclusion/participation, and reporting
· Clearly identify sales sectors for prospecting (i.e. restaurants, specialty markets)
· Create a prospect and sales qualifying process
· Develop a sales touch-point plan to ensure that customers and prospects are engaged and up to speed on Pocono Organics products, services, and experiences
· Work with farm team to understand produce forecasts and availability
Sales Efforts:
· Weekly update and distribution of produce sales sheet to customers/prospects; process orders and collaborate with farm team
· Daily outreach to prospects to gauge interest (via in-person, phone, virtual meetings)
· Expanding network of prospects through Pocono Organics’ existing network of contacts
· Developing unique/educational/entertaining content with Social Media Manager to use for prospect/customer outreach
Reporting:
· Track all sales activities in company CRM system and keep current by updating account information regularly
· Weekly reporting on sales impact (closed deals, online/e-commerce, existing customers) to president and CMO
· Monthly and quarterly reports on sales impact, inclusive of ways to enhance or pivot based upon market conditions
· Maintain and regularly report on prospect pipeline
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
· 2-4 years of experience is preferred
· Demonstrated ability to create and maintain sales revenue
· Ability to meet deadlines
· Proficient in Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Proven track record of successfully managing internal/external relationships
· Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communications skills
· Highly self-motivated and accountable
· Ability to multi-task with a great attitude
This position can be full time or part time and is hourly plus commission.
