Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in legal drafting, transcribing, and managing legal documents. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to lawyers and enhance office effectiveness
- Transcribe dictations and correspondence accurately
- Manage attorney calendars, appointments, and deadlines
- Assist with document review and organization
- Coordinate client meetings and interviews
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or similar role in a law office setting
- Proficiency in using legal software such as MyCase or similar document management systems
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Excellent typing skills and ability to transcribe legal documents accurately
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines efficiently
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
