Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to fill the role of Assistant Provost of Enrollment and Student Services. This critical leadership role drives university growth goals by aligning strategy between teams to ensure a seamless student experience during enrollment. The successful candidate will be pivotal in shaping and implementing new programs with lead generation plans and conversion best practices. This position requires a dynamic individual with proven senior leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills to drive enrollment growth, build internal and external partnerships, and advocate for the needs of the GPS student population and staff. The position oversees the following departments: Graduate Enrollment, Accelerated Undergraduate Admissions, External Partnerships, Enrollment Contact Center, One Stop Student Financial Services, and Military Programs and Services. This position reports to the Vice Provost of GPS Operations.

Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Enrollment Strategy and Management:
  • In partnership with direct reports and Marketing, develop and implement comprehensive annual plans to effectively recruit prospective students and ensure sufficient outreach inquiry volume to meet organizational goals
  • Develop and implement effective lead-generation strategies to increase outreach leads
  • Analyze market trends, demographics, and competition to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Develop and implement cross-department and multi-channel contact strategies based on data and best practices
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Academic departments to create and execute marketing campaigns and recruitment initiatives.
  • Utilize data-driven approaches to assess enrollment metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Provide regular enrollment forecasts for upcoming terms and communicate across departments and to Cabinet
  • Collaborate with the Director of Data and Systems to leverage technology to enhance and track recruitment efforts.
  • Build a military-focused recruiting effort
  • Partner with the Director of Learning and Development to incorporate scorecards into the CRM and phone system to ensure quality assurance, performance gaps, and training opportunities
Student Services Oversight:
  • Provide leadership for all financial student services: One Stop Student Financial and Military Programs and Services
  • Enhance the overall student experience by implementing innovative and student-centric services.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to ensure seamless integration of student services with academic programs.
  • Partner closely with the Dean of Students to ensure a seamless handoff from enrollment to success
  • Develop and manage the financial strategies within the application funnel and prospective student
  • Apply best practices to the new student experience, which supports the building retention up front strategy.
  • Partner with Records, Financial Aid, and Academics to ensure policies around financial services and communication with students are student-centric and clear
Leadership:
  • Lead and inspire a team of enrollment and student services professionals.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages collaboration and professional growth.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for leadership and frontline team members.
  • Communicate enrollment updates to Program Directors and Deans on an ongoing basis.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Business Operations and Vice Provost to set realistic and ambitious enrollment goals for continued growth.
  • Align data with strategy and tactical plans to ensure continuous improvement and best practices are followed.
  • With a strong understanding of policies and procedures for this student population, advocate for GPS needs to stay competitive.
  • Represent GPS on appropriate committees and councils
Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Ability to analyze data, prepare necessary reports, evaluate and analyze program effectiveness and resource utilization
  • Utilize data analytics to evaluate enrollment trends, student demographics, and program effectiveness.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior leadership, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • Advise Executive Management Group, Strategic Enrollment Planning committee, and Academics of enrollment challenges related to admissions, market misalignment, and competition, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Identify areas of improvement within the technology and additional technology to enhance the recruitment efforts and success
Community Engagement:
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with community organizations, community colleges, and other relevant stakeholders to enhance recruitment efforts.
  • Represent the institution at conferences, events, and meetings to promote enrollment initiatives.
  • Oversight of all MOU's with community partners, community colleges, school districts, and hospitals and all discounts with partners.
  • Collaborate with Academic departments on ongoing partnerships and community relationships.
Qualifications:
  • A master's degree in higher education administration, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience leading enrollment management teams or related areas within a higher education setting.
  • Proven success in developing and implementing effective enrollment strategies.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with experience leading a diverse team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with enrollment software and data analytics tools.
  • Proven experience aligning various departments across organizations and implementing programs/projects with multiple contributors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in conflict resolution, with a strong track record of successfully mediating and resolving disputes in diverse and dynamic environments.
  • Knowledge of trends and best practices in graduate and professional education.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in the arena of complex relationships and competing demands.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Sitting for periods greater than one hour.
  • Use of computer equipment: computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor.
  • Vision to read documents, e-mail and other correspondence, and reports on paper and computer monitor.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others in person and by phone.
  • Will also stand, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 10 lbs throughout the day. Able to drive from one location to another.
