We are looking for a data strategy lead to join the Data Strategy group within our Market Intelligence “MI” Research team.

The Data Strategy team within Market Intelligence takes a research-oriented and strategic approach to discovering new avenues of insight, manages the inflow of compliant data into our team’s process, and is responsible for managing effective and efficient data and research partnerships on behalf of the firm.

Data Strategy Lead
We are looking to recruit a Data Strategy Lead to join the Data Strategy group within our Market Intelligence “MI” Research team. In this role you will collaborate with our research team, investment professionals and leadership across the firm, along with external data and research partners to provide essential support required to source providers that may ultimately be used by our investment teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Research data ecosystems and opportunities as you support the team’s effort to identify, evaluate, and introduce new data and research sources to internal consumers
  • Manage relationships with data and research providers, including facilitating requested service changes, ensuring internal use of services follows the firm’s contracts and obligations, and staying current on the evolving data market
  • Leading a small team of data strategists
  • Build and manage internal relationships by fielding questions and requests from investment teams, working closely with Compliance to evaluate potential new providers and manage existing providers, and support new hire on-boarding
  • Coordinate new content provider on-boarding which includes working with teams to assess content requirements, negotiating business terms, and coordinating approvals

What’s Required

We’re looking for a hard-working self-starter who wants to take the next step in their career in a dynamic and team-oriented environment. You should also have:

  • Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance
  • 4-6 years of experience - with an alternative data or financial services background (buy-side/sell-side - ideally in macro investing)
  • Exposure to contract and pricing negotiations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail with high quality standards
  • Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills
  • Ability to work closely and effectively across multiple business units within the firm
  • Ability to adhere to the highest ethical standards and work closely with Compliance

The annual base salary range for this role is $135,000-$185,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
