The Estimator has a crucial role at Pointer Construction Group and due to planned expansion, we are looking to bring another member to our growing team. As you step into this position you will become part of a tightly-knit group. Reporting to the Director of Preconstruction and Estimating, you will be tasked with supporting and leading bid efforts. You will also receive dedicated training and mentorship enabling future career progression within the business.

Pointer Construction Group is a CVE-verified, service-disabled veteran, woman-owned firm founded in 2009. We provide a full array of design-build, construction management, general contracting, and preconstruction services in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Arizona, and Texas. Our expertise covers a broad range of markets including Prime Contracting with federal government agencies, and the construction of industrial and manufacturing facilities, commercial office buildings, and private-sector healthcare facilities.

This Role would be suitable for the following individuals:

• An Estimator who feels like they may be stagnating or are “pigeonholed” in their current position and is looking to be involved in a variety of interesting and complex projects.
• A Junior Estimator or similar with a few years of experience who can demonstrate they are ready to step into an Estimator position at the next level in their career.
• An experienced estimator who feels like a “number on a screen” in a large business and wants to be valued as a human being by joining a close-knit team with training and career growth.
• An Estimator who wants to work for a veteran-owned business whose projects directly benefit veterans and their families.

Candidate Skills, Experience, and Background

• Bachelor’s Degree (or Equivalent) – Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or similar.
• Three years (3) years of General Contracting Estimating experience, ideally in Federal/Government or Medical or Complex Commercial
• Technically savvy and computer literate – must be experienced using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Meticulous with attention to detail
• Experience with Bluebeam, Building Connected and Plan Swift Take Off program.
• Bid document submittal experience.

Compensation and Benefits

• $100,000 - $125,000 Base Salary.
