The ideal Poke House candidate will:

  • Adhere to all sanitizing, food safety, and health procedures to limit the spread of germs and foodborne illness between team members and/or customers
  • Uphold the integrity of the food with brand standards, techniques, and adherence to local and state laws
A typical day at Poke House:
  • Prepare Poke House menu items to be served (e.g. raw meat, cooked meat, fresh produce, cooked rice, sushi rolls, handrolls, etc.)
  • Support team members by communicating and helping to stock the service line with necessary menu items or equipment when necessary
  • Support team members by helping to wash dishes when necessary
  • Support team members by helping to take out trash and recycling when necessary
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and safe working area at all times.
  • Be knowledgeable about menu items including ingredients and possible allergens.
  • Follow all food safety requirements, guidelines, and procedures set forth by Poke House, local, state, and federal employment regulations including but not limited to:
  • Properly labeling and storing of all food products
  • Maintaining proper temperatures on all food products
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen (e.g. floors, equipment, counters, reach-in fridges, and walk-in coolers, etc.)
  • Completing and following necessary checklists, guidelines, and procedures
  • Cleaning and sanitizing of required areas assigned each day
Core Responsibilities:
  • Raw seafood, meat and vegetable preparation
  • Cooked meat preparation
  • Handroll and sushi roll preparation
  • Receiving and signing for vendor deliveries
  • Inventory management
  • Cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing
  • Communication & teamwork
  • Upholding current food, safety, and health standards
Requirements:
  • At least 18 years of age (Kitchen Prep)
  • Authorized to work in the USA
  • Must have reliable source of transportation
  • 1 year of food preparation experience preferred
  • Be able to communicate in the primary language(s) of the work location
  • Food safety certification
  • Open and flexible availability preferred (variable hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed)
  • Physical requirements: Long periods of standing, walking and lifting (up to 50 lbs)
