Polar Semiconductor is Hiring a Remote Industrial Engineering Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking an Industrial Engineering Manager to join our dynamically growing team at Polar Semiconductor. As an Industrial Engineering Manager, you will be instrumental in developing and growing a team responsible for improving semiconductor manufacturing processes. Your team would be responsible to ensure labor, equipment and processes are measured, controlled, and operating at optimum efficiency. Responsibilities & Duties: Lead a team of individual contributors with technical degrees by injecting excellence in all the systems the department supports. Department supports systems used in manufacturing, scheduling, and reporting. Continue to improve the efficiencies of the company by identifying, supporting, and prioritizing projects and timelines. Responsibilities lead the department to success and help other departments identify opportunities for improvement. Develop the skillsets of the team to enhance coverage of all aspects of the department’s responsibilities and strengthen service. Manage the inputs of the capacity statement used with the production plan and future forecasts. Responsible for communicating operational performance, highlighting operational achievements and shortcomings. Works with team to improve operations’ execution of meeting production goals. Leads the team to develop relationships with operators and process engineers and improve their ability to increase throughput and reduce cycle time. Understand constraint management and help reduce the impact constraints have on the fab performance. Develop opportunities to reduce spend and improve operational performance while staying within budget and schedule. Responsible for data standards, accuracy, and reporting. Continues to improve the metrics to drive consistency throughout the organization. Help identify, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes by ensuring that labor, equipment, and processes are measured and operating at optimum efficiency. Lead the team to gather the right information to provide complete solutions to drive continuous improvement. Support factory automation deployment and efficiency through identifying opportunities, streamlining processes, integrating systems, and possibly managing an individual contributor directly responsible for system performance. Requirements: REQUIRES minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. Related experience is a plus. At least 5 years of related work experience, management experience a plus. Experience in lean manufacturing, six sigma, and pull systems beneficial. Microsoft Office Suite, SQL and AutoCAD skills desired. Understands capacity, utilization, OEE, operational curves, systemized solutions, root-cause analysis, manufacturing methods, and modeling. Effective communicator—both verbally and written skills, with proven ability to work in a collaborative environment to achieve balanced business objectives. Self-motivated and possess the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
