We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT (Information Technology) team. Candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, securing and supporting our growing network infrastructure. This position will provide expertise in network architecture, performance optimization, and security to ensure seamless and secure network operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Design and Implementation:

• Design and implement secure, scalable, and robust network solutions to support the company’s operations.
• Develop and deploy network architecture plans for new and existing systems, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VoIP.

Network Maintenance and Support:

• Monitor and maintain network performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot network issues and outages, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Perform regular network performance tuning and provide network performance statistics and reports.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement and maintain network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
• Implement and manage NAC (Network Access Control)
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability testing.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date network diagrams, documentation, and inventory records.
• Provide status reports and network performance metrics to management

Collaboration and Training:

• Work closely with other IT & Cybersecurity team members, departments, and external vendors.
• Provide training and support to staff on network-related issues and best practices.
• Participates in Project planning and prioritization activities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in network engineering or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of networking hardware (routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, etc.) and accompanying management software.
• Proficient understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
• Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
• Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools.
• Solid understanding of network security principles and practices.
• Excellent problem-solving & debugging skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCIE, CompTIA Network ) are preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Extensive experience with Extreme Switches, Extreme CloudIQ, Cisco Routers, Palo Alto (Firewall) and Meraki Wi-Fi systems
• Experience with industry standard monitoring tools (Wireshark/SolarWinds)
• Experience with cloud networking (Azure)
• Familiarity with automation and scripting (PowerShell/Ansible/Python, CLI scripting via Extreme Site Engine)
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Experience with FARS, EAR, ITAR or DOD (Department of Defense) requirements would be appreciated.
• Knowledge of encryption technologies (SSL/IPSEC)
