Manages all services rendered to clients and families including but not limited to: nursing services, aide services, companion services etc.
· Participates in development of all the agency’s objectives, standards or care policies and procedures affecting clinical services.
· Consults with the Quality Improvement Committee in matters relating to client care services.
· Reviews, implements, amends and updates policies relevant to client care with the Director of Compliance on a periodic basis.
· Participates in local organizations and activities relative to the health professions and community health services.
· Participates in state and national organizations, meeting, seminars, workshops and activities relating to the health professions and health care services, when appropriate.
· Leads and directs supervision of all clinical staff
· Directs training and updates Clinical Staff on all Policies & Procedures, forms, DOH regulations, etc.
· Review all incident and accident reports and logs.
· Review all infection control reports and logs.
· Review all complaints and grievances reports and logs.
· Prepare QI reports for Quality Improvement Committee on quarterly basis and for annual board meeting in conjunction with Director of Compliance.
· Audit clinical employee and patient charts on a monthly basis.
· Set up all in-service topics for the quarter, and ensure proper instructor is in place and holds quarterly meetings with nurse educator about same.
· Ensure all medical equipment is in place and in good working condition.
· Review the HPN daily.
· Responsible to ensure all services rendered are ready to be billed for which includes ensuring timely and accurate completion of all clinical documentation.
· Ensure Agency is in compliance with all DOH regulations and adheres to DOH Standards of corporate compliance.
· Attends weekly office meetings.
· Leads and directs the clinical supervisors to ensure compliance, execution and accountability of all clinical staff as an extension of the DPS position.
· Leads and runs all lead nurse meetings.
· Required to perform quarterly site visits to all facilities.
