Job Summary Quality Technician: Works closely with the product line Quality Engineer to ensure robustness of Quality Controls and proactively monitors signals from the production process to prevent defects. Location: Monticello, MN Responsibilities Utilize Polaris Problem solving (PDCA, 5Y, Fishbone Diagrams) and Lean PPS (Polaris Production System) techniques to Continuously drive improvements to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost Drive Part Qualification Activities completing Key Elements of AIAG PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) Ensure Part Quality Standards are achieved through Polaris Development Process (PDP) and maintained using statistical techniques Provide guidance to the production team as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Work on Cross Functional Teams to meet site Goals and Initiatives Train others on proper equipment and measuring techniques Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Required Experience and Skillset Technical Degree (Prefer Manufacturing Related) Strong Communications Skills (written and verbal) Precision Machining and /or Casting knowledge or Experience preferred Fundamental Problem Solving Strong inspection skills and machining first article inspection experience Data Analytics Blueprint reading / Fundamentals of GD&T Strong computer skills Fundamentals of Quality Competencies Ensuring Accountability Holding yourself and others to high standards of accountability, and creating an infrastructure and transparent corporate culture that supports and measures personal and organizational responsibility and accountability.
