Polestar is Hiring a Head of Marketing | North America Near Mahwah, NJ

At Polestar we don't just drive innovation in our cars – our entire business model is different from our competitors. We’re looking for a creative, innovative, experienced, and hands-on professional to take the wheel and drive Polestars U.S. marketing strategy.
Let us describe the challenge we offerThe Polestar Head of Marketing will be the primary point of contact for all marketing activities relating to the brand in the U.S. market. You will work in collaboration with our marketing teams in Canada and Global HQ offices to ensure brand consistency across the United States and execute new initiatives and programs in line with our global marketing strategy. You will be responsible for successful product launches and strengthening consumer awareness and consideration of the Polestar brand within the market.
This role will be based in our Mahwah, NJ HQ and will report directly to the Head of Polestar USA.
What You’ll DoMarketing Strategy
  • Grow the Polestar brand in U.S. and drive brand awareness, consideration, and relevance amongst target audiences.
  • Develop the U.S. marketing strategy consistent with the overall Global marketing strategy and implementation roadmap.
  • Leverage the strategies, guidelines, and content from our global HQ to drive scalable and efficient marketing for the U.S market.
  • Drive digital-first, consumer-centric approach across all aspects of the business together with Global teams and stakeholders.
  • Align with Polestar Space partners to secure communication plans and activations are in place and according to strategy and guidelines.
  • Manage and oversee the U.S. marketing budget and spend each calendar year.
Activation & Campaigns
  • Lead, develop, and execute consumer communications across all channels.
  • Sustain a performance measurement framework across key platforms to drive sustainable growth and continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for financial planning and reporting (paired with KPI framework to deliver campaign attribution/ROI measurement)
  • Develop specific brand and tactical campaigns to create and maintain high levels of customer interest ultimately driving consumer conversion.
  • Manage new product launches.
  • Initiate, develop, and execute event strategy.
  • Manage and coordinate with our external agency partners.
  • Deliver exemplary Customer Experience across all brand touchpoints.
  • Oversee CRM, social media, and Community Management channels.
  • Explore and implement best in class practices from other Polestar markets
People
  • Work cross-functionally on tasks and projects with in-region teams & stakeholders.
  • Lead agency partner relationships to drive the innovative, thoughtful work that meets overall objectives.
  • Strong collaboration and coordination with Canadian and Global partners
Who You Are
  • 8 years of experience in senior marketing level roles, leading strategic decisions
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications, master’s degree a plus.
  • Experience working in a multi-market, global organization.
  • Must be passionate and enthusiastic about sustainability and electric vehicles.
  • Strong and proven leadership experience in marketing management.
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing communications programs in traditional, digital and social landscapes.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to comfortably work with C-Level leadership across the organization.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Proven experience with web, social, and paid analytics tools.
  • Project management and multitasking skills; ability to effectively manage project tasks, timelines, and communications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: a collaborative ethos and the ability to effectively interact with and influence a diverse group of people.
  • You are driven, committed, with proven experience in marketing communications and brand building.
