Job Summary
This position is a Quality Technician for our facility in Englewood, Colorado. Position tests product batches and will make adjustments, as necessary, to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards. Tests incoming raw materials and maintains Certificates of Analysis (COA) from suppliers.
Hours: Monday to Thursday 10:00am-8:30pm
Essential Functions

• Performs standard tests on assigned product line production batches and on some incoming raw materials as needed, ensuring the meeting of Avient and the customer's specifications.
  • Fiber Content / AW, Wick testing, Moisture testing, ASTM Tests in use.
• Acts as a technical resource to production addressing issues related to production batches.
• Recommends to the quality department to develop adjustments to procedures to meet specifications.
• Records test results in the network. Maintains reference files.
• Compiles and reviews all required paperwork, records, documents, etc. for Workorder Travelers.
• Ensures all gauges and test equipment are verified.
• Performs regular line audits in manufacturing.
• May participate in investigations of complaints and corrective actions as needed.
• Follows and complies with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintains departmental housekeeping standards.
• Completes and sends documentation to customers (i.e. COA).
• Strive to continously improve our products and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED

• Manufacturing/Maintenance - Fork Lift Operators License, Production, Quality and Lab Experience
• Personal Skills: Manual Dexterity, Quantitative Skills, Reading/Comprehension, Conflict Resolution Skills

Salary: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Physical/Environ. Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and use foot/feet to operate machine.
• The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds and frequently move more than 250 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job may include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Requires the use of safety equipment as dictated by the work area such as safety glasses and shoes, dust mask, hardhat, respirator, face shield, hearing protection, chemical suit, gloves, aprons, etc. Work is inside and the typical noise level is loud.

The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, and outside weather conditions. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration.
