Wildcat Media Technician Assistant

Supervises: N/A

Qualifications: High School Degree or Equivalent

Knowledge of installing or evaluating audio visual systems

Familiarity with pertinent software applications

At least (1) Year of Audio Visual Experience

Job Goal: Facilitates district audio/visual technology to enhance, support, and promote the district

Employment Terms: Extra Duty Position

FLSA Classification: Nonexempt

Evaluation: Annually by the Athletic Director

Regular Requirements: Regular Requirements: Sit for extended periods; twist at the neck and trunk; bend and reach at, below and above shoulder level, repetitive use of fingers and hands to grasp and/or operate equipment; lift/move up to 15 pounds

Occasional Requirements: Walk, reach with hands and arms overhead, above shoulder and horizontally; lift/move up to 25 pounds

Visual Requirements: Close, color, peripheral, depth perception, ability to adjust focus

Hearing/Speaking Requirements: Adequate to exchange information

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists the Wildcat Media Technician with the following:

• Demonstrate basic networking knowledge for the purpose of installation and maintenance of advanced AV control systems.
• Maintains current equipment inventory.
• Troubleshoots and maintains district audio-visual systems and equipment.
• Monitors equipment for the purpose of proper equipment functionality, security, and relativity.
• Advises supervisor when developing standard specifications for the purpose of ensuring long-term audio visual functionality at minimum cost to the district.
• Assists in the planning and designing of audio-visual systems.
• Assists in the creation of promotional materials and videos.
• Collaborates with a variety of internal and external stakeholders for the purpose of providing and/or receiving information and ensuring ongoing success.
• Manages daily work schedule according to current requests and projects
• To ensure continuity of services, remote work may be necessary in the event of a health crisis or disruptive situation that requires the closing of school and/or office buildings. An employee’s eligibility for remote work will be determined by the superintendent of schools. Expectations and guidelines for remote work will be distributed by the employee’s supervisor, based on his/her role and responsibilities.
