Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection: Gather and maintain accurate records of cancer patients diagnosed and treated.
- Follow-up & Analysis: Maintain lifelong cancer registry follow-up, performing statistical analyses in line with standards.
- Mentorship: Assist in mentoring students and new registrars, fostering a learning environment.
- Clerical Duties: Handle clerical tasks, such as managing electronic health records, coordinating tumor boards, and maintaining AV equipment.
- Compliance & Quality: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, perform quality control, and maintain patient privacy.
- Education: Associate’s degree in a health-related field or equivalent; completion of an accredited Cancer Registrar program.
- Certification: Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) upon hire.
- Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of cancer processes, staging, coding systems, and medical terminology. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CNExT, and EPIC. Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to work independently or in teams.
