Senior Staff Accountant
Sunnyvale, CA 94085 – Hybrid
We are a rapidly growing provider of high-density fiber networks. We are looking to fill the position of Senior Staff Accountant to assist with managing the monthly financial close, maintain balance sheet supporting schedules, support tax and audit preparation, perform ad-hoc reporting, and ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately.
This position reports directly to the CFO and has a tremendous amount of growth potential. We are a small team but support a growing results-oriented company. A successful candidate will be self-motivated, team oriented, and eager to learn and take on responsibility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsibility for supporting all accounting functions
• Responsibility for maintaining the general ledger and financial records in accordance with GAAP
• Support monthly close and preparation of monthly financial statements
• Analysis of all balance sheet accounts and maintaining supporting schedules
• Perform ad hoc GL analysis and reporting
• Assist in preparation for and completion of annual audits
• Work with accounting staff and tax professionals to ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns
• Preparation and filing of state and local taxes, including property taxes, sales/use taxes, local taxes, etc.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure transactions and reporting are accurate and timely

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Desire to grow and take on responsibility
• Must be a hands-on, team player with excellent inter-personal skills
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
• Experience with General ledger accounting, managing complex accounting concepts
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Sage Intacct
• Experience working for public accounting firm a plus
• Telecom experience a plus
