Under the direction of the Wound Center Director and Wound Care provider the Registered Nurse (RN) primarily provides comprehensive wound assessments and determines the plan of care including goals, implementation of treatment (per provider's orders), evaluation and outcomes for patients throughout the facility.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Provide patient, family, and staff education regarding wound management, prevention of pressure injuries, support surfaces, dressing selection, and other therapies.
• Acts as the resource person for the physicians and clinical staff for wound management.
• Provide In-Services to all newly hired nurses as well as any staff requiring additional education regarding wound care treatments, policies, and procedures.
• Work with the quality department to validate information regarding compliance and staff knowledge of pressure injury prevention measures.
• Work closely with wound care provider, assisting with patient visits, procedures, and wound care treatments.
• Work with Case Management on discharge planning and scheduling patients for follow - up in the wound care clinic when appropriate.
• Perform other duties as required.

RN with current state license is required.
