The Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority is accepting applications for the position of Accounts Receivable Clerk. This position performs day to day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivable data. The work involves ensuring accuracy and efficiency of accounts receivable operations by verifying, posting, checking, balancing and reconciling payments. The work involves preparation of billing statements and invoices at varying times of the month. The work involves reconciling accounts receivable to ledger to ensure that payments are accounted for. Performs customer service functions for internal and external customers to verify discrepancies and resolve issues. Provides controller with financial statements and reports detailing the status of accounts receivable status. Works with internal and external customers to facilitate timely payment of invoices and sends bill reminders and notices.
Associate's degree in accounting or related field is preferred and three years of experience performing bookkeeping services, preferably in accounts receivable.
