About The Role

At POSH, we've witnessed an explosion of unique real-world communities being built with our tools. From cooking classes to fitness groups to dating experiences and beyond, it's been thrilling to see diverse communities unite around shared interests and backgrounds.

To further empower the growing array of community builders in our ecosystem, we're seeking a driven, results-oriented Partnerships Manager to validate new verticals. This role combines the core responsibilities of an Account Executive with a pioneering "0 to 1" mindset. You'll drive each vertical's first $1M in Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) through outbound sales activities while crafting tailored sales playbooks for each vertical you validate.

In this position, you'll be crucial in expanding POSH's reach, forging new partnerships, and propelling our platform's growth. Your mission: identify and engage real-world community builders who can leverage our ecosystem's robust toolkit to thrive and scale.

What You’ll Learn & Achieve

  • Execute High-Performing Outbound Sales: Conduct high-volume outbound calls to key prospects, introducing them to POSH and generating interest in our ecosystem of IRL community-building tools. Use strategic questioning to understand prospects' needs and challenges, positioning POSH as the ideal solution for their community’s needs.
  • Conduct Comprehensive Live Demos: Lead engaging, real-time demonstrations of the POSH platform, sourced from your prospecting efforts and supported by POSH BDR resources. Showcase key features and benefits, customizing each demo to address the specific needs of different verticals. Highlight how POSH can tackle their unique challenges and empower them to scale their in-person communities.
  • Negotiate Contracts and Close High-Value Communities: Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to deal closure. Craft tailored proposals and negotiate contract terms that align with the prospect's needs and POSH's business objectives.
  • Manage and Optimize Your Pipeline: Maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking all interactions and progress in the CRM system. Regularly update and manage your pipeline to ensure timely follow-ups and smooth progression through sales stages.
  • Create Vertical-Specific Sales Processes: Gather and document each vertical’s unique needs, developing sales material, scripts, and copy that aligns with the value POSH provides to each type of community you engage.
  • Consistently Beat Sales Targets: Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets, contributing directly to POSH’s overall growth objectives concerning the verticals you validate and scale. Participate in regular meetings with GTM leadership and training sessions to sharpen your skills and stay updated on the latest sales techniques and POSH platform updates.

Skills and Experience You’ll Need

  • 4 years of experience in a sales or account executive role at fast-paced software startups (ideally marketplaces or SMB-focused SaaS), with a strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • 0 to 1 mindset with experience building, documenting, and optimizing infinitely scalable go-to-market processes.
  • Proven success in conducting outbound sales and closing deals, with the ability to handle high call and email volumes and maintain quality interactions.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to deliver compelling live demos that engage and convert prospects.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with experience in drafting and closing contracts that benefit the company and the client.
  • Ability to manage a sales pipeline effectively, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce/Close/HubSpot) and a data-driven approach to managing and optimizing sales activities.

Even Better If You Have

  • Experience in and passion for the live events industry as a community builder, affiliate, or avid fan.
  • A background in managing or scaling communities, either professionally or as a passion project.
  • Entrepreneurial personality, starting and scaling personal projects both on your own and within the organizations you’ve been a part of
  • Experience in a fast-paced startup environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and demands.

  • Salary: $140,000-$180,000 OTE
