Positec Tool Corporation is Hiring a Remote Golf Business Development Manager

This is a remote position.
Position Summary:

The Golf Business Development Manager (GBDM) drives sales and profit growth of Kress products within an assigned geographical area for the golf course industry. The GBDM is responsible for driving sales results through prospecting, lead follow-up, relationship management, testing, and trials as well as recruiting, training, and managing Kress’s golf dealers. The GBDM has the business acumen and technical aptitude to sell optimal solutions in Kress robotic mowing for golf courses as well as Kress commercial battery equipment. It is required that the GBDM work cross-functionally with technical sales, after-sales, and sales operations to optimize results.

Key Responsibilities:*

  • Sales of Kress robotics and commercial garden products to golf courses in assigned territories.
  • Program and relationship development with golf course management companies in assigned regions.
  • Planning for targeting and connecting with golf courses in assigned territory for sales of Kress products.
  • Creativity in approach and networking with key superintendents across the assigned territory.
  • Participation in GCSA conferences, trade shows, member events, and outings.
  • Dealer recruiting, training, and support.
  • Proficient with the tools and resources provided by Positec to support the Kress business including, but not limited to Kress Dealer Portal, HubSpot, etc.
  • Analyze sales and available data to determine the most influential business development techniques.
  • Ensure that the needs of the Dealer are met, and issues are resolved promptly.

Requirements
Education and Experience:

  • 4-year degree or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • 5 years of technical sales experience in golf turf technology or equipment for the golf course industry.
  • Experience in developing and building a Sales territory via new customer acquisition and growth of existing customers. (Golf course industry experience required)
  • Professional sales skills are required to confidently conduct course testing and present ROI benefits for the sale of equipment.
  • Business development and management of resellers/dealers in the golf course industry.
  • Relationships with key golf superintendents within the assigned regional territory.
  • Recruiting and training of golf course dealers.
  • Organizational skills are necessary to manage leads, sales, and installation projects.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
