Posterity Group LLC is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Orlando, FL

Posterity Group LLC is seeking several skilled Dental Assistants to join our team at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Orlando, FL. The Dental Assistants will perform a full range of dental assistant duties, within the scope of this statement of work, on site using government furnished supplies, facilities, and equipment within the assigned unit of the Dental Treatment Facility. This position requires a combination of technical skill, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Compensation:
  • Salary $41,263 to $47,844 annually
  • Up to $4.41/hr. health and welfare. Cash in Lieu of.
  • 2 weeks Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • 11 paid Federal Holidays annually.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays).
  • Manage infection control by preparing and disinfecting treatment rooms in accordance with current OSHA and CDC guidelines.
  • Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures.
  • Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health.
  • Perform office management tasks as required.
  • Ensure the dental operatory and lab areas are maintained in a clean, orderly, and ready-for-use state.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Successful completion of a 2-year dental assistant program or a 2-year dental hygiene program accredited by the American Dental Association's Commission on Accreditation, which includes at least 12 semester hours of relevant coursework.
  • Certification from the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) as a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) is required.
  • 2-year experience as a Dental Assistant preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care to veterans.
