The Product Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the TIQ Guardian Product Line by working across functions to ensure good business decisions and marketability of the products. This role will also work with the Sales Team in developing solutions to meet local requirements for Emergency Responder Communications Enhancement Systems (ERCES). The Product Manager will provide product expertise and will have the ability to listen to customer requirements and present solutions in a consultative fashion to ensure that systems are designed and deployed to meet these needs.

Essential Functions

  • Manage TowerIQ product portfolio by working cross functionally to ensure customer and business needs are identified and responded to.
  • Manage NPD (New Product Development) Process through required stages/gates including VOC.
  • Conduct product and application training for Regional Sales Managers (RSM’s), Engineered Systems Distributors (ESD’s) and Radio System Integrators to develop product knowledge to achieve desired growth.
  • Participate in meetings with ESD’s, Radio System Integrators, Engineers and AHJ’s as required.
  • Manage forecasting, product stocking levels and procurement of accessories.
  • Manage marketing collateral materials – data sheets, manuals, etc.
  • Conducting market research and obtaining feedback from clients to improve existing products.
  • Write reports and liaison with the production team regarding issues, foreseeable problems, and effective solutions.
  • Maintaining strong professional relationships internally and with customers.
  • Keep up to date with new company products as well as industry/competitor trends.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to travel overnight for customer meetings, trade shows and internal meetings.
  • Ability to deliver technical sales presentations and training to all stakeholders in the channel.

  • Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth understanding of market trends, competitors, and customer needs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree required, preferably in Engineering/Technology and/or Marketing.
  • Experience in a product centric role for a manufacturing entity, preferably in the fire safety or RF technology industries.
  • Understanding of gated new product development process.
  • Aptitude for understanding a technical product line.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the fire safety or RF technology industries.
  • Fundamental understanding of RF networks is preferred.

Work Environment/Physical Demands/Travel

This job operates in a professional business office or home office where standard office equipment is routinely used, such as computers, photocopy machines, fax machines, telephones and filing cabinets. This position is largely a sedentary role. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities. This role will be expected to travel to partners/events.

This is a full-time position, with occasional travel. The hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 hours per week.
